Through the month of May, my 4th graders will be tanning a buffalo hide using traditional methods. Every couple of days there will be new posts from the class talking about the process and other things we learn through the month. We are hoping to have lots of questions and comments about our posts!
Very cool! I know this will be a lot of work and you'll have to work fast if you don't want the mixture to start smelling REALLY bad. But you'll be rewarded with the softest hide that will provide more insulation than you could ever imagine. Good luck and hang in there!

This will be very interresting to see what all the students learn and the different observations you will get. Very exciting For Mr. Agostinelli and his students what a great idea.
